Airfoil FlexForm is an assembly and routing aid that enables controlled soft wrapping. The system simplifies the installation of wiring harnesses in complex structures and significantly reduces manual effort.

1. Pre-Assembly


  • Airfoil FlexForm is placed at defined positions within the wiring harness during manufacturing.
  • The balloon is wrapped together with the cables in black harness tape (fabric tape for wiring harnesses).
  • As long as the balloon is filled with air, the wiring harness remains stable when needed.

 2. Installation & Routing

  • The pre-assembled wiring harness is integrated into the vehicle, machine, or another application.
  • Due to the air filling, the harness retains its shape and can be positioned precisely.

 3. Flexibilization & Final Assembly

Once the wiring harness is in its final position, the air is carefully released from Airfoil FlexForm.

This creates a soft wrapping that perfectly adapts to the installation environment.

 

 4. Two Options After Installation

  • Removal: The balloon can be pulled out.
  • Retention: The balloon can remain within the harness tape, depending on the specific application.
